Community Awards

Ivy Tech Community College’s Bloomington campus invites nominations from the public for a Community Arts Awards reception and fundraiser, honoring local arts advocates, educators, and businesses.  

To submit a nomination, log on and click Community Arts Awards 2015. Nominations are open for the following awards:

Arts in Business Award

To recognize a business for exemplary support of the arts.

Arts in Education Award

To recognize an educator, school corporation, PTO or other entity directly influencing and engaging students through visual, literary or performing arts.

Arts Advocate Award

To recognize an individual who has provided service, leadership, and/or substantial support to the arts.

Special Citation Award

To recognize any individual or organization deserving of recognition for their contribution to the arts.


The Community Arts Awards reception and fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 7 and is planned in conjunction with the Ivy Tech John Waldron Arts Center’s centennial, taking place this year. Ticket sales open February 1, 2015, and will benefit Ivy Tech-Bloomington’s building expansion, which includes new spaces for art, music, and movement instruction. (
