Important eligibility changes to the AOS grant guidelines for FY16
The notice of intent to apply form reflects revised eligibility guidelines for operating support grants which require “providing arts activities or services” as a primary mission, purpose, and focus of the applicant organization.
Examples of qualifying organizations would be arts producing, arts promoting, arts presenting, artist services, or arts teaching organizations.
Organizations must be a private nonprofit, tax-exempt status 501 (c) (3) from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), or an Indiana public entity (part of a city or county government).

Guidelines for FY2016 AOS grant programs
The guidelines for Arts Operating Support (AOS I, II, and III) grants can be found on the IAC website at: www.in.gov/arts. Organizations considering applying for AOS I, II, or III should carefully read through the new guidelines. The notice of intent form, due January 9, 2015, will determine eligibility for these grants.
Guidelines for organizations applying for AOS III, or those organizations in Region 7 (Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, and Shelby counties) should consult directly with IAC staff Becca Hopson rhopson@iac.in.gov.
