The Art of Sustainability in Historic Preservation, Why it Makes Dollars and Sense, by Duncan Campbell

On Tuesday, December 3rd, beginning at 5:30 pm, The Venue will host a presentation by Duncan Campbell, addressing Historic Preservation from an economic preservation and loss perspective. Duncan has deep roots in Bloomington and in historic preservation. His professional experience and academic resume are impressive, and he has taught as Associate Professor on the Faculty of the prestigious School of Architecture at Ball State University.

Duncan will analyze the preservation of the Showers Complex and The Johnson Creamery, two Bloomington projects with which he is intimately familiar, and establish why they were a compelling investment. Duncan explains historic preservation from an innovative and objective perspective.

The Venue will provide refreshments for this presentation. Our complete collection of Fine Art and Gifts will also be on display for viewing and purchase. Free parking is available in the lot on the corner of 4th and Grant. Join us.
