As the Kick-off for the fourth year of our Tuesday Evening Presentation Series, The Venue Fine Art & Gifts, on Tuesday, February 5th, at 5:30 pm, will host a presentation by Doug Bruce, a name familiar to many of you as the President of Tabor/Bruce Architecture & Design, Inc. You may also know Doug from his extensive involvement in community organizations and affairs  including  Bloomington North Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce Franklin Initiative,  Big Brothers Big Sisters,  Monroe County Youth Services Bureau, Indiana University Little 500 Current Director of Infield Safety, Bloomington Historic Preservation Commission, United Way Community Services Current Mayoral appointed Board member, Bloomington Chamber of Commerce.

What you may not know is that Doug is also an avid Vintage Sports Car Race Car driver.

Doug began racing vintage sports cars in 2008, and has participated in more than 25 races across the country, competing in his 1959 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite 1.4L. In his presentation Doug will show exciting cockpit video from races and actual equipment used in vintage sports car racing. This is as close as Bloomington gets to Paul Newman.

Doug’s his presentation will be entertaining, interactive and informative. The Venue will provide refreshments for the occasion. Our complete collection of fine art and gifts will also be on display for viewing and purchase. Free parking will be available in the lot at Fourth and Grant.
