On Tuesday, September 18th, beginning at 5:30pm. The Venue Fine Art & Gifts will be pleased to host a second presentation by Harry Geduld, Professor Emeritus of Indiana University from the Departments of Western European Studies, Film Studies, and former Chairman of the Department of Comparative Literature.  Known as the “father of film studies” at Indiana University, Dr. Geduld’s list of publications, accomplishments, and awards is far too numerous to mention.  Harry will preview his forthcoming book, the ninth since his retirement, entitle “The Geduldictionary”.

Inspired by Ambrose Bierce”s “Devil’s Dictionary, “The Geduldictionary”contains such lexicographic masterpieces as CHINA: A Country owned by Wall Mart, or SADIST: A person who gets paid for tormenting people younger than himself: e.g. a Professor. In addition to reading a selection, Harry may be prevailed upon to read some of his “deathless Verse”. This presentation will be informative and entertaining.

The Venue’s fine selection of fine art, jewelry, ceramics, and other gifts will be on display and available.  Refreshments will be provided by The Venue and free parking is available in the lot on the corner of 4th and Grant.
