Nadine Pinede’s An Invisible Geography
An Invisible Geography, a new book of poetry by Nadine Pinede, will be published by Finishing Line Press. Nadine received her PhD from Indiana University and is a two-time recipient of the Indiana Arts Commission Individual Artist Project grant. She was recently awarded a Brown Foundation Fellowship at the Dora Maar Villa in France. Her poetry has been featured on NPR/WFIU’s “The Poet’s Weave,” and she has been an artist facilitator and grantwriter for South Central ArtsWork Indiana. Order copies of An Invisible Geography here.

“Color Your Brain” at Bloomingfoods Stores!
Jill Bolte Taylor BRAINS, Inc. is holding a “Color Your Brain” event, as part of the on-going Brain Extravaganza!, in conjunction with Bloomingfoods Market and Deli. Children age seven and under may color-in an image of the brain and have it displayed at any Bloomingfoods location. In exchange for turning in their drawing, children will be able to select one free piece of fruit or vegetable from a list provided by Bloomingfoods. An educational handout about various fruits and vegetables and how they affect the brain is available at Bloomingfoods stores. Completed brain drawings may be dropped off at the customer service desk of any Bloomingfoods store (East, Near Westside, and Kirkwood Downtown) by July 15, 2012. More info here.

Fourth Street Festival of the Arts Booth Opportunities!
Fourth Street Festival of the Arts offers a unique opportunity for your Non-Profit Arts Organization to present itself to the public. Approximately 40,000 people attended the event last year. They will be offering both 10 x 10 booths ($85) and 5 x 10 booths ($45) for non-profit community arts group. Bloomington Open Studio Tour 2012
Visit over 50 local artists in their studios and workspaces during the first annual Bloomington Open Studios Tour, Saturday and Sunday June 2 and 3. 10:00 AM to 4:00pm.
