When photographers John and Peggy Woodcock, (Professor Emeritus in English and former Assistant to the Director of IUs School of Fine Arts) planned their three week trip to Egypt in March of 2011, they did not plan on becoming witness to a revolution. Being where they were, when they were, fortuitously afforded them the unique opportunity to capture the scene and atmosphere of the pro democracy demonstrations and the revolutionary street art of Cairo, and of the now famous Tahrir Square.

Tuesday, March 6th, beginning at 5:30pm, The Venue will host the Woodcocks as they present their photographic documentation of this unique moment in time.  Their presentation will be informative and interactive. Refreshments will be provided by The Venue. Our fine selection of paintings, jewelry, ceramics, and other gifts will also be on display and available for purchase. Free parking is available in the lot on the corner of 4th and Grant.
