Exhibition Opportunity for Indiana Student Artists

Deadline for entries is February 15, 2012

The 2012 NSAL Visual Arts Competition is open to all Indiana residents and students enrolled in Indiana schools, age 18 to 29.  Media accepted include painting, mixed media, drawing, printmaking, photography, studio ceramics, sculpture, metal smithing, fiber art and video (but not documentaries).  Prizes include the $1000 Chapter Award and additional awards of cash and art supplies. The exhibition will be held at the Indiana University Theater Gallery in Bloomington in April 2012.  Entries must be delivered or postmarked by Wednesday, February 15.  No entry fee required. 

The mission of the National Society of Arts and Letters is to identify, encourage and support artists, between the ages of 18 to 29 years, preparing for professional careers.

The Bloomington Chapter also sponsors an outreach program to recognize young artists in area high schools, as well as a grant program for arts teachers of youth between ages of 4 and 14.
