The Size of Color: EP Release Show
Local band The Size of Color will be releasing their self-titled album (and the band’s first EP) at the Trained Eye Arts Center at 9 pm . The band’s new album will be available for purchase, as well as various items of merchandise. A live DJ and karaoke will provide additional entertainment at this event. Artists After Hours
Sponsored by the Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington, Artists After Hours in January features the City of Bloomington Arts Commission. Come meet members of the Arts Commission: hear about the Bloomington Public Arts Master Plan currently underway, get tips on grantwriting, preparing portfolios for public art competition submissions and more! Plus share your ideas about what the Arts Commission should be doing for Bloomington arts. Friday, January 20
One Hour Exhibition @ IU Art Museum
This one-hour exhibition will look at the tradition of color woodblock printing in Japan during the seventeenth through the nineteenth centuries. Featured artists will include Hokusai, Harunobu, Hiroshige, Kunisada, Sharaku, and Utamaro. The exhibition is from 3 pm – 4 pm. Visitors should meet in the museum’s third floor office. Truth Book Launch Party
